Why not celebrate the festive season at The Honours in Malmaison Glasgow. Enjoy a three course menu “exploring the magical flavours of the season”, created by chef Martin Wishart. With dishes including Pressed Pork Terrine and Martin Wishart Smoked Salmon for starters, Confit Duck Leg, Slow Roasted Free Range Turkey or Roast Cod as a main, then for dessert the menu includes The Honours Creme Catalan and Petit Pot of Dark Chocolate for those with a sweet tooth and a selection of French Farmhouse Cheeses for those who don’t. Located at the top of Bath Street, near Charing Cross, Mini Grill is a stylish eatery serving homemade dishes, influenced from around the world. Their festive menu boasts starters including a Haggis Trio and Hand-dived Scottish King Scallops, main dishes include Filet Mignon, Ballotine of roast Golden Goose stuffed with apricot & chestnut and Lobster Thermador, all of which are served with rosemary & thyme goose fat potatoes, haggis chipolatas, honey glazed parsnip & carrot, bacon buttered sautéed sprouts, cranberry and jus. With a menu consisting of Honey Roasted Parsnip Soup and Crispy Fried Brie with Cranberry and Orange Compote for starters and Roast Turkey Breast and Leg, Goat’s Cheese, Roast Pepper and Basil Lasagne and Roast Fillet of Salmon. Once a disbanded church, Saint Luke’s is now a hip Bar & Kitchen venue. For £30 per person for three courses and a glass of fizz, this is a great option for lunch or dinner at the East End hidden gem. The menu includes Ham Hough Terrine or Spiced Fishcake for starters, then Confit Leg of Turkey, Lorne Sausage Stuffing, Roast Potatoes, Sprout Puree & Chestnut Puree, Roast Cod, Crushed Potatoes, Buttered Kale & Caper Butter and Ragout of Wild Mushrooms, Poached Egg & Rocket for a choice of main courses. With starters including Nonna’s Pate, Gamberetti Salsa Rosa and main courses like Linguine Ai Sapore Di Mare, Salmon Frizzante and Tacchino De Natale, an Italian version of the traditional festive turkey, you’ll be spoilt for choice.
