Wednesday 21st September – Saturday 1st October
Kicking off the Oktoberfest celebrations first is Committee Room No.9. From tomorrow with the Student Oktoberfest, the free event will have a live Bavarian Oompah Band and steins of German beer for £5. Then from this Friday until the 1st of October there will be bands on every Friday and Saturday as well as German beers on tap and a Bavarian menu running. Sunday 25th September
Hippo Taproom on Sauchiehall Street is putting on a day of German festivities this weekend. For £5 you’ll get a stein glass for your drinks and a bratwurst in a bun (vegetarian option available). Tickets available at the bar or here.
Saturday 24th-Sunday 25th September
Another bar to choose where to celebrate Oktoberfest this weekend is Bier Halle, with their first ever Oktoberfest party. Not only are they importing an order of ‘Festbier’ by Weihenstephan, they will also have a full hog spit roast by King Boar. Wednesday 19th-Sunday 23rd October
For the past three years, Glaswegians have enjoyed the German beer, food and atmosphere of Oktoberfest. There will be a German band over from Bavaria, Dirndl and Lederhosen outfits for hire and delicious food like Bratwursts, Schnitzels and Pretzels. Friday 7th, 14th, 21st and 28th October
Every Friday in October, West on the Green are celebrating Oktoberfest with party nights on all month. For £25 you can enjoy a German meal and live music from Oompah bands.
Sunday 25th September- Saturday 29th October

Saturday 1st October
Situated in Snow Factor in Soar at Intu Braehead, Bar Varia is putting on an Oktoberfest Experience. A ticket (£14 Earlybird/ £19 Standard) includes Bavarian food and either a bier or large glass of wine on arrival. There will be live music and also a free bus to Glasgow will be provided.
