Ten Things to Do With The Kids When It’s Pourin’ Doon
As the summer holidays are over and the weans go back to school, why not do something this weekend to cheer them up? Oh, but it’s raining you say? Not to worry: Glasgow Living has come up with 10 fun things to do that are undercover…
With the Science Mall, Planetarium, Imax and the Glasgow Tower, there will be enough to keep them (and you) distracted from the miserable weather!
If the weans are not happy to be back at school, they will be once they step back in time and see what life in the classroom was like in the Victorian days.
3. Jump for Joy
The trampoline in the back garden soaked and covered in leaves? Take them to Ryze Trampoline Park Glasgow. With dodgeball, basketball and foam pits, they will be entertained for hours.
4. Wonder World
Let the kids run about and burn off all that excess energy on the astroturf football pitch, slides and the Moon Crater, whilst you sit with a Grande Extra Shot Latte… YES there is even a Starbucks. You’re welcome.
Why not do something different and try the only dedicated roller rink in Scotland!. Adults can join in too… If you’re brave enough!
Scotland’s first ever glow in the dark bowling alley? You can play ten pin bowling with the lights off at Cosmic Bowl at M&D’s.
You will be spoiled for choice at Intu Breahead, Adventure Golf, Climb Zone, Lazer Station and Snow Factor – an indoor real snow slope.
8. Potter about
If you are looking for something a bit different why not let them make their own pottery and paint it at The Craft Pottery Glasgow. Suitable for all ages so it’s something the whole family can enjoy.
If you really want to tire them out, a bit of physical exercise will do the job. Take them to a local swimming pool, such as Bellahouston, the Gorbals.
Over 8’s can hit the race circuits and be like Lewis Hamilton at ScotKart Indoor Kart Racing.
