Tennent’s Launches ‘Bone Idol’ Search for Voice Talent
Tennent’s Lager is searching for new voice-over talent to feature in the latest episode of its animated online series, Wellpark. The beer brand is set to scour Scotland to find the right characters. Previous acting experience is not necessary – although one stipulation must be met: auditionees should be of a four-legged variety. To accompany a sketch titled ‘Pub Dugs’, Tennent’s is looking for real-life pooches to provide barks, sniffs and growls for a special Dogs only edition of the video.
Those who think their dog has what it takes to raise the woof should head to Tennent’s Facebook or Twitter (@TennentsLager) and post an audition video using #WellparkBoneIdol. Audio from the winning videos will be used to create an alternative version of the Pub Dugs video which is for dogs only.
Winners will be selected on Monday 3 October and sent the doggie re edit the following day, 4 October, so they can share with their four legged friends.
Alan McGarrie, Head of UK Brand Marketing at Tennent’s said: “Woof.”
Wellpark launched in summer 2015 with 25 original sketches attracting millions of views globally. New sketches were released every week – from pub regulars Bobby and Paul, to a cocky guide dog; a fly with the inside track on FIFA; an App that lets you dump your partner by text; the Aye watch, an emotionally intuitive Scottish smart watch; and a Good Count with a dodgy accent.
