1. Ox & Finch
Having just celebrated their second birthday, Ox & Finch are a now firm fixture on the Glasgow dining scene. Their reputation for fine, contemporary food and exquisite presentation means if you want a seat in the sun, you’ll most likely need a reservation. Prepare for excellence.
2. Barolo Bar and Grill
Barolo Grill’s impressive seating area is always ready for those rare days when the Med sunshine comes to Glasgow, and they have the delicious Italian cuisine to match. Perfect for people-watching and enjoying Prosecco on those warm days that surprise us every now and then.
There are few things so lovely as coffee and cake al fresco, and Kothel do both absolutely marvellously. Freshly baked goodies, an extensive brunch and lunch menu and a cosy interior make this the perfect West End spot whatever the weather, but the mix and match outdoor seating is extra good on a nice day.
Don’t let the wee size fool you, this family (and doggie) friendly bakery and brunch spot have a menu to suit everyone. Carnivores, herbivores and vegans will all leave with full tummies, just make sure you leave a space for the homemade cakes.
5. Ubiquitous Chip
Ubiquitous Chip are an establishment of Ashton Lane – 40 years young and considered one of the best in the West, and in Scotland. Sunshine and Scottish cuisine will make for a memorable meal, even if it becomes tricky to remember that you are actually still in dreich Glasgow, rather than a sun-soaked, European town.
