The Shilling

The first to bring the “brew pub experience to the heart of Glasgow”, the Shilling Brewing Co. is located on West George Street. They have three Core Brews; Unicorn IPA, Glasgow Red and The Steamie. Unicorn IPA is a pale ale, with deep malt undertones and lemon and sherbert notes. The Glasgow Red Ale is a ruby red beer with a toffee and caramel sweetness, while The Steamie is a hoppy Blonde ale with tropical notes with a touch of grapefruit.

West on the Green/ West on the Corner

With two venues in Glasgow, West on the Green at Glasgow Green and West on the Corner on Woodlands Road, West is the only brewery on the UK to produce its beer in strict accordance to the German Purity Law of 1516. Their craft beers (which are brewed at West on the Green) include St. Mungo, a malty, crisp Bavarian ‘Helles’ lager. They also Feierabend a dry pilsner, with subtle fruitiness and hints of white wine, and also Apache, a crisp and citrusy pilsner.

Inn Deep

With William Bros house beers and micro batch and keg guest beers sourced from all over the world, craft beer lovers will be spoilt for choice at Inn Deep. From William Bros Draught, a crisp refreshing lager brewed from pilsner malt to William Bros Black Ball, a smooth black pint with a creamy head, there is something for everyone!

Munro’s

Munro’s ‘the home of craft beer in the west end’ is located on Great Western Road. With different Munro’s Craft beer on tap, and favourites including West’s St. Mungo and William’s Bros Joker IPA, their list of craft beers are extensive.

The Hippo Taproom

Claiming to have ‘Glasgow city centre’s best beer selection’ Hippo Taproom on Sauchiehall Street have 10 kegs which are rotated and three cask lines. The kegs include American pale ale Beavertown by Gamma Ray, Brick Lane’s Redchurch lager and Ahab’s Up Front, an American stout. They also boast around 60 bottles and cans!

Drygate
