Blythswood Square Spa First in Glasgow to Offer Cancer Patients Specialist Treatments
Renowned for its ultimate relaxation, luxurious interiors and five-star service, Glasgow favourite Blythswood Square Hotel has now become the first in the city to be able to offer specialised treatments for cancer patients. Ten of the hotel’s Spa Therapists recently graduated from the cancer touch spa course at the Made for Life Foundation, resulting in the hotel being the sole venue in Glasgow able to offer such treatments.
During the advanced course, therapists gained a deeper understanding of what cancer is through in-depth training around staging, grading and how the treatments for cancer can affect the need to adapt spa treatments.
Spa Director, Leon Trayling said: “We are proud that we now offer specialist cancer touch massages and treatments for patients that are looking to pamper themselves whilst feeling like they are in safe hands. It is really special to be the only Spa to offer something like this in the city, and was in response to many of our guests looking for something so specialist.”
Now that the team can confidently open the Spa’s doors to anyone with cancer, this no doubt further creates a truly rejuvenating and more inclusive experience, with the extensive range of sophisticated and holistic face and body treatments now able to be altered to suit each patient, with a full consultation beforehand to ensure they are comfortable.
Boasting nine luxury treatment rooms, a thermal suite, two relaxation pools, a lounge and café, the hotel certainly proves itself to be a sumptuously tranquil haven in the centre of the hustle and bustle. 101 stylish guest rooms (including suites and a spectacular penthouse), chic restaurant, stunning Salon with garden views, private dining rooms, a screening room, fizz, cocktails and Afternoon Teas undoubtedly top off the height of luxury in Glasgow!
