Point A have chosen Glasgow as the launchpad for their seven, brand new hotels opening in Scotland and central London, and it’s already high on our wishlist for a wee weekend in the city centre: delivering all the flair at a remarkable price.

Located on the corner of Bath Street and Hope Street, the Glasgow style has been very important in the integration of this newbie on the hotel scene. Step inside and you’ll be greeted by a £30,000 bespoke installation by Timorous Beasties. It has remained under wraps for now, but we can’t wait to see which glorious colours and designs they’ve gone for.

Rooms are available to suit all, from double, twin to accessible and the friendly team are all locals in one way or another – so the website is fast-filling up with their recommendations for the best things to see and do in the city.

Naushad Jivraj, the CEO of family business Queensway Group who own the hotels, had this to say about what to expect:

“Our Bath Street location is perfect for visitors to Glasgow, and we’re sure our investment in this part of the city centre will complement the mix of leisure, retail and professional services businesses in our neighbourhood. This part of the city is on the rise and we are really pleased to be part of its renaissance.”

Meanwhile, Allied Irish Bank (GB) in Scotland helped to finance the venture, with Senior Relationship Manager Craig Gebbie stating that:

“We were blown away by the Point A Hotel vision of really high-quality hotels in great city centre locations where you go to stay when you’re in town for meetings or simply to enjoy yourself.”

So there you have it! New investment, and a shiny beautiful budget hotel to enjoy when the time warrants a celebration without breaking the bank. Who are you going to invite along? Click here for more information and to book your stay!
