As someone who wears makeup daily, the process of taking it off at the end of the day can be extremely boring and time-consuming. We all know that going to bed with make-up on is the cardinal sin of beauty, which is why it’s so important to take it off, even when you can’t be bothered. If only there was a quick and easy way of doing it…

1. It’s really easy to use

Tired of scrubbing your face and rubbing until your eyes are red raw? Simply squeeze a few drops onto a cotton pad and lightly rub your makeup off. It feels just like water and doesn’t leave skin greasy like most cleansers. It really is that easy, even at 4am, half cut and trying unsuccessfully to eat the chips and cheese you hid in your handbag from the taxi driver, trust me.

2. It uses magnetic powers

After a long day in the city centre pounding the Style Mile, your skin can be covered in grime. According to Garnier this all-in-one cleanser “like a magnet, the cleansing agents capture and lift away dirt from the skin.” It all sounds very sciency, but I like it.

3. You can use it on eyes

There is nothing more annoying than buying a cleanser, getting home and realising you can’t use it to remove your eye makeup…There is no rubbing needed, just one swipe and most of it came off. It didn’t sting my eyes either which is always a plus AND it removed waterproof mascara.

4. It’s kind to the skin

The clear stuff is fragrance-free, hypoallergenic and has been dermatologically tested which basically means it suits sensitive skin and won’t irritate your skin. It also claims to contain “naturally derived active ingredients” which can only be a good thing, right?

5. It’s cheap and will last ages

This 400ml bottle is £4.99. It is a really big bottle and Garnier claims that you will get 200 uses out of it. I tend to use quite a lot at a time, but for me, one bottle will last well over a month!

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water, £4.99, available at Boots.
