Calvin Logue sets heads turning with new record ‘Journey’ released on Spinnin’ Deep.

At 24 years old, Calvin Logue has already taken his brand of minimal techno from the suburbs of Glasgow to some of the world’s most iconic clubs. Performances at infamous local haunt The Arches have morphed into appearances at quintessential Ibiza clubs including Space, Gatecrasher, Sankeys, Cafe Mambo and Amnesia.

With support from the likes of Carl Cox, Beyer and Kolsch; it’s great to see local Glasgow talent making it on a global scale. Calvin started making music when he began mixing on his dad’s Technics 1210s at just 12 years old – 10 years later he is signed to record label Spinnin’ Deep and being noticed by respected dance music publications such as iDJ and Magnetic Magazine.

Inspired by the likes of Cirez D and Alan Fitzpatrick, Calvin creates some powerful tracks such as his Warrior EP or recent single ‘Less Is More’. This genre of techno is complex and mature for someone in their early twenties. This is only the beginning for Calvin Logue.

With such a diverse music and clubbing scene, it’s inspiring to see so much young talent emerging from our hometown. Glasgow is drowning in a pool of insanely talented people when it comes to underground music and Calvin deserves every success and recognition he gets.

His new track ‘Journey’ is available on Spotify and Beatport. Check him out and support Glasgow talent.
