Small community initiative hosts afternoon tea and fashion show in Shawlands to raise funds to build the charity.

Kitted Out are a small community initiative based in Renfrewshire but covering Glasgow and surrounding areas. Their aim is to make senior proms, P7 leaver parties, first communions and other formal occasions affordable and accessible to all.

Life is expensive and when it’s hard to make ends meet from week to week, it’s even harder to find the cash for extras like party clothes and prom outfits. Especially when they’ll never be worn again. Kitted Out have created a collection of beautiful outfits and accessories, for both boys and girls, that can be borrowed for a one-off occasion, like the P7 Leavers’ Dance, S6 Prom or a special party.

Appearances are very important at this age and they want to make your young one feel like a Prince or Princess. If you are in the Paisley (or surrounding) area and need an outfit, or if you can donate a pre-loved outfit, you can message their Facebook page.

They are hosting their first ever charity event and Afternoon Tea on Sunday 6th October at 1pm at Loks Bar & Kitchen in Shawlands. The fashion show will feature their beautiful collection of occasion wear. Tickets are £20 and include 2 glasses of fizz. To attend the event, you can make a donation of £20 for each ticket on their GoFundMe page and leave a comment with your full name and number of tickets required.

You can check out the Facebook Event here.
